STADMED Private Limited,
one of the pioneering pharmaceutical Houses of Eastern
India, started its operations in the year 1940. The company
was initially called Standard Medical Research Institute.
 Under
the able leadership of the Founding Father, Late. Gour
Gopal Saha, the organisation earned the reputation of not
only being one of the pioneers, but also one of the most
innovative and competitive organisation in the Eastern
Region. In keeping with the dispensing method of medical
practice in those days, the company excelled in Tincture
manufacturing. The company was also the first to produce
Amino Acids cum enzyme preparation in India.
The
organisation changed it's name to STADMED PRIVATE LIMITED in
the year 1951. and set up it’s FACTORY at Dumdum, in KOLKATA,
in the state of West Bengal and still has its base there,
where formulation Manufacturing and Marketing started in
right earnest.
With products like
ALKASOL, ENTROZYME, PULMOCOD and AMINOZYME, the company
rose to rapid fame, bringing relief to the ailing
humanity by providing cost-effective therapy for common
ailments.
 The company commissioned it’s SECOND FACTORY at
LUCKNOW,
in the state of Uttar Pradesh, in the year 1984. It
geared itself to the changing times and the challenges
of the market, aiming at leadership position in Eastern
India and Northern India.
Both the factories are GMP and ISO 9001 : 2008
certified. Both the factories have Quality Control
Laboratories equipped with all modern technologies and
instruments.
Today STADMED is the only Pharmaceutical House in
Eastern India to venture into the fields of Diabetic,
Cardiovascular and Psychotropic Medicine. Brands like
GLIZA MF, EMFOR, DIASET, GLYZIP, ZOLAM and IHD, AMSTEN,
ASART have become
current strengths of the company.
